1. Who We Are
Pages by David ("we", "us", "the Company") builds and hosts websites for small businesses. This policy covers how we handle information on pagesbydavid.com and on preview sites we host at site-draft.com.
2. What We Collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. Here is everything we collect:
Contact form submissions
- Name, email address, phone number, and your message
- Submitted voluntarily when you fill out a form on our site
- Processed by Formspree and delivered to our email inbox
Analytics
- We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool
- Plausible does not use cookies, does not track individuals, and does not collect personal data
- We see aggregate data only: page views, referral sources, country, device type
Theme preference
- We store your light/dark mode choice in your browser's localStorage
- This stays on your device and is never sent to us
3. What We Don't Collect
- We do not use tracking cookies
- We do not run retargeting or advertising pixels
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone
- We do not collect payment information. All payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your card details
4. How We Use Your Information
Information you submit through our contact form is used to:
- Respond to your inquiry
- Follow up about our services if you've requested it
That's it. We don't use your information for anything else.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate our website. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare: hosting, CDN, and DDoS protection. Cloudflare processes server logs (IP addresses, request data) as part of normal web infrastructure.
- Plausible Analytics: privacy-focused, cookieless analytics. No personal data collected.
- Formspree: form processing. Receives your form submission and delivers it to our inbox.
- Stripe: payment processing for clients. We never handle or store card information.
- Google Places API: we pull publicly available business information (name, address, reviews) to build preview websites for prospective clients.
6. Preview Sites (site-draft.com)
We build preview websites for prospective clients at site-draft.com. These sites display publicly available business information sourced from Google, including:
- Business name, address, phone number, and hours
- Google reviews (reviewer first name and review text)
- Service area and business category
All of this information is already public on Google. We do not collect or display any private information on preview sites.
If you are a business owner and want your preview site removed, contact us and we will take it down promptly.
7. Client Data
When you become a client, we collect the information needed to build and maintain your website: business name, contact details, service descriptions, photos you provide, and any content for your site.
Your client data is stored in our project files and email inbox. We do not share your client data with anyone except the third-party services listed above, as needed to deliver your website.
8. Data Retention
Contact form submissions are kept in our email inbox until the inquiry is resolved or the conversation ends naturally.
Client data is retained for the duration of the service relationship and for a reasonable period afterward in case you return or need files.
9. Your Rights
You can request that we:
- Tell you what personal information we have about you
- Correct any inaccurate information
- Delete your personal information
Email us at david@pagesbydavid.com and we will respond within 5 business days.
10. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through our site, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We will not reduce your rights under this policy without notifying you.
